Burnley secures Chelsea's Broja on a five-year contract agreement
Armando Broja Joins Burnley on a Five-Year Deal
After 16 years at Chelsea, striker Armando Broja has made a permanent move to Premier League rivals Burnley. The deal, announced just before the start of the new 2025/26 season, sees Broja commit to Burnley for the next five years.
Broja, who began his career at Chelsea at the age of eight in 2009, progressed through the club's academy before being loaned out several times. His most recent loan spell was at Everton last season. However, Chelsea have decided against making Broja's loan spell permanent, paving the way for his move to Burnley.
The reported fee for the transfer is £20 million, but Burnley have not disclosed the exact financial terms of the deal. External reports suggest that the fee includes potential add-ons, bringing the deal "up to £20 million" [1][4][5]. It is also reported that Chelsea could potentially pay an additional £5 million ($6.7 million) in add-ons for Broja.
Broja, who represents Albania, has previously played for Southampton and Fulham in the Premier League. The 23-year-old striker has expressed his excitement about joining Burnley and is ready for the challenge of playing for the club.
Burnley have been bolstering their squad ahead of their return to English football's top-flight, with the signing of Bashir Humphreys and Lesley Ugochukwu in the off-season. Broja believes it's a positive time to join the club and has promised to give his all every time he plays for Burnley.

Armando Broja's move to Burnley indicates that he will be competing in the Premier League, the same league where he previously played for Southampton and Fulham. With Burnley aiming to secure European-league qualification this season, Broja's addition could strengthen their attack and potentially boost their chances of achieving that goal.
