Burj Khalifa, Dubai's iconic skyscraper, will showcase the Indian flag in recognition of the 79th Indian Independence Day celebration in the United Arab Emirates.

The 79th Indian Independence Day celebrations in the UAE will take place on Friday, with events planned in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The festivities will include official flag hoisting ceremonies, cultural performances, exhibitions, and community events, showcasing the strong ties between India and the UAE.

These ceremonies will be accompanied by patriotic songs, classical dances, and exhibitions, such as a tribal art display and counter-terrorism awareness in Abu Dhabi, and a showcase of the Indian national flag's historical journey in Dubai.

Landmark Illuminations and Fireworks

For UAE National Day on December 2, 2025, Dubai and Abu Dhabi plan extensive celebrations. Dubai’s Burj Khalifa will feature colorful LED light displays symbolizing national pride, and areas like Hatta Wadi and the Al Seef district will offer Emirati cultural experiences, food, and performances. Abu Dhabi will host fireworks and events at locations including the Corniche, Yas Marina Circuit, and Emirates Palace.

Exhibitions, Events, and Emirati Cultural Experiences

Indian expats will mark their Independence Day with early morning gatherings for flag hoisting, patriotic singing, and exhibitions reflecting India-UAE relations and Indian heritage. The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign encourages citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes during Independence Day and Republic Day (26 January).

In addition, the consulate in Dubai partnered with Glendale School in Dubai to host an exhibition as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. The exhibition showcased the historical journey of the Indian national flag through various informative displays.

Indian associations, community groups, and businesses across the UAE are organizing various celebrations for the Indian Independence Day. A special Independence Day Blitz Chess Tournament will take place in Sharjah, hosted by the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club.

Community Events and Blood Donation Camps
