Were the streaming subscriptions for Bundesliga matches pricey? - Bundesliga Streaming Subscription Prices Explained

Don't miss a single pass or goal! The 2025/26 Bundesliga season is here, and with it comes a shift in the way you can stream games. For the first time, the cherished Saturday conference will no longer grace the screens of Sky but instead, it'll be exclusive to DAZN. This change could mean higher costs, new subscription models, and a more complex landscape in the streaming world. Here's a breakdown of the prices, platforms, and changes you should know for the upcoming season.

A milestone in German sports broadcasting: After decades on Premiere and Sky, the Saturday conference at 3:30 PM will move to DAZN for the 2025/26 season. For many fans, this change seems daunting and may even require switching providers.

In the future, DAZN will show all Friday and Sunday games, in addition to the Saturday afternoon conference. In total, they will cover 240 games per season, with around 161 via the conference. To access these games, you'll need the Unlimited subscription, which costs €34.99 per month with an annual subscription or €44.99 per month if you prefer a month-to-month plan (equaling roughly €420-€540 annually).

Bundesliga on Sky and WOW: What's on and at what cost?

Even without the conference, Sky remains committed to the Bundesliga business. The provider retains the broadcasting rights for all Saturday 3:30 games, Saturday evening top game, all Friday games, the Supercup, and the relegation. In the "Entertainment + Bundesliga" package, customers pay €30 per month for the first year and €40 thereafter.

Those who also book the Sport package (including Champions League, tennis, and US sports) pay €35 per month for the first year and €50 thereafter. Depending on the package, this comes to between €360 and €600 a year.

An alternative to the traditional Sky subscription is the streaming service WOW, which offers the same sports content but is accessed via app or browser. WOW broadcasts all games shown on Sky, such as the Saturday and Friday single games, as well as the Saturday evening top game. The "Live-Sport" package costs €30 per month with an annual subscription, and from July 2025, the monthly cancellation price will be €45.

For HD quality, Dolby 5.1 sound, and parallel streaming on two devices, fans will need the WOW Premium subscription, which costs an additional €6 per month. Fans looking for an affordable, digital-only solution to access Bundesliga streaming can consider WOW, although prices may increase in the second year.

Stream instead of stadium - a costly pleasure

For those who want it all in one place, you can also bundle DAZN directly through Sky. The combo package with "Entertainment", "Bundesliga", "Sport" (including Champions League, tennis, and US sports), and DAZN Unlimited will cost €64.99 per month for the first year. After the introductory offer ends, the price increases to €84.99 per month, which means that a full Bundesliga season will cost new customers around €800, and around €1,000 after one year.

With the new Bundesliga season, fans face a significant decision: To stream all live games, fans will have to pay for subscriptions and total costs of at least around €900 for the whole season. Depending on whether you choose receiver TV, WOW, or the combination with DAZN, both the price and flexibility vary – it rarely becomes cheaper.

♪ When the Bundesliga season ends, you might find yourself humming "I'm gonna be a star, I'm gonna be a star," as you scored fantasy points from your virtual performances on Sunday. ♪ Despite the shifting landscape, football enthusiasts can still catch their favorite matches, whether it's the Saturday conference or Friday games, on Sky or WOW, though they'll need to adjust their budgets accordingly.
