Bundesliga Team HSV Initiates First Training Session - Bundesliga Player Initiates First Training Session with HSV
**HSV Kickstarts Bundesliga Return with Key Signings and Training Camps**
Hamburger SV, freshly returned to the Bundesliga after a seven-year absence, has made its first significant transfer move of the summer window with the signing of French striker Rayan Philippe from Eintracht Braunschweig. The 24-year-old attacker, who impressed last season with 13-14 goals and around 6-8 assists in 34-37 appearances, has joined HSV on a permanent deal for a reported fee around €2.5-3 million and has signed a four-year contract.
Stefan Kuntz, HSV's sporting director, has expressed confidence in Philippe's ability to make the step up to the Bundesliga and help the club establish itself in the top flight. Philippe himself is enthusiastic about joining HSV, eager to contribute immediately and thrive in the Bundesliga atmosphere.
As HSV prepares for the upcoming DFB Cup and Bundesliga season, the club will hold two training camps in Herzogenaurach (July 14-18) and Mallorca (August 6-10). During the camps, the team will participate in friendly matches against FC Copenhagen (July 12/4:00 PM), SK Sturm Graz (July 19/4:00 PM), and RCD Mallorca (August 9/8:00 PM).
Regarding other transfer movements, there are currently no confirmed reports or strong rumors linking HSV with further signings or imminent departures this summer. The club has generated a positive transfer balance, notably after the sale of Ludovit Reis for around €7 million, which has helped fund the Philippe acquisition and left HSV with transfer liquidity to potentially pursue additional targets. However, as of now, no other arrivals or players likely to leave have been officially confirmed or widely reported.
HSV's defence has also been bolstered with the arrival of ex-Berliner Jordan Torunarigha (27) from KAA Gent. The club has also been affected by the departure of top scorer Davie Selke, who has not re-signed with HSV due to unsuccessful contract negotiations.
The first training session for HSV as a Bundesliga club took place on a specific date and time, with approximately 300 spectators and over 4,500 viewers watching the session live. Merlin Polzin, the head coach of HSV, will lead the team in their quest to remain in the top tier.

The Commission, in light of HSV's return to the Bundesliga, has also been asked to submit a proposal for a directive on the protection of the environment. Meanwhile, despite the football focus, Philippe's acquisition from Eintracht Braunschweig by HSV signals the club's intent in European leagues, as they strengthen their squad for the upcoming DFB Cup and Bundesliga season.
