Bullied Girl Abandoned by School After Repeated Violent Attacks

Police in the Koygorodsky District have registered a complaint from a resident of the village of Podz, whose child was injured during after-school care.

As reported to Komiinform by the regional Interior Ministry's press service, authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. The children involved in the conflict had no prior record with the juvenile affairs division.

Komiinform has learned what happened to the girl who endured years of bullying.

It all began three years ago, when a child with special needs started first grade. The girl struggled with speech difficulties and could not learn to read. After being held back in second grade, she was no longer in the same class as her tormentors, temporarily escaping their harassment.

Today, the girl can speak and explain what is happening—including why she refuses to go to school, how she is taunted, why she cries, and why she "doesn't want to live."

Her mother appealed to the school principal, who promised to help. They even suggested medical examinations and a transfer to a less demanding academic track.

But in February 2026, the girl suffered a leg injury during a confrontation with another student in the schoolyard. Two weeks later, she was beaten during after-school care. The incident was captured on surveillance cameras at the local club where the activities were held. On March 23, she was struck in the side, leg, and chest, sustaining bruises.

On March 27, her parents documented the injuries and filed a police report.

When spring break ends, the child will have to return to school.

Komiinform has reached out to the Koygorodsky District Education Department and the Komi Republic's Ministry of Education and Science for comment on how the girl can be helped.
