Bulgaria’s Heater Market Shrinks as Exports and Production Decline in 2024

Bulgaria’s electric heating equipment sector faced a downturn in 2024. Exports of heaters dropped for the second year in a row, while imports and production also fell. The market as a whole shrank, continuing a trend of declining demand since 2018.

Exports of heaters from Bulgaria fell by X% in 2024, reaching just X units. This marked the second consecutive annual decline after two years of growth. In value terms, exports dipped slightly to $X, though the average export price rose by X% to $X per unit. Romania remained the top destination, absorbing a X% share of Bulgaria’s total exports.

The Bulgarian electric heating equipment market is now smaller than in previous years. Both exports and imports of heaters have declined, while production and consumption continue to shrink. The sector’s challenges reflect broader shifts in demand and trade patterns across the region.
