Fire at Equin Camping Stable: Paolo Adorno and Gaia Renzi's Stable Burnt Down

In a shocking turn of events, the stable of Paolo Adorno and Gaia Renzi at Equin Camping in Fiumicino, near Rome, was set ablaze on Monday, September 15. The fire, believed to be an act of arson, claimed the life of a mare named Bright Star and left another horse, Nairobi ZGZ, severely injured.

The tragic incident occurred early in the morning as Paolo Adorno and Gaia Renzi prepared for a trip to Lanaken, Belgium, for the World Championship for young horses. Their van, loaded with all of Paolo's belongings including boots, saddle gear, accessories, and work tools, was where the fire started.

The couple, who were staying in their van with their son on the eve of their departure, expressed their concern about what might have happened if they had been in the van during the fire. They are still in shock following the incident.

The stable housed only two horses, Nairobi ZGZ and Bright Star, the latter owned by Gaia Renzi. Alessandro Bizzarri, the owner of the facility, managed to rescue Nairobi ZGZ from the stable. However, the horse suffered severe burns.

Paolo Adorno and Gaia Renzi have been revisiting their past few years, trying to find anything that might have led to the fire, but have found nothing. They question if there are people in their sport capable of such crimes, or whether it was the work of a madman or someone trying to sabotage Paolo's participation in the Lanaken World Championship.

They are also concerned about what Nairobi ZGZ and Bright Star may have experienced during the fire. They have been speaking extensively with investigators but cannot find a reason for the fire.

In the aftermath of the fire, Paolo Adorno and Gaia Renzi are considering the structure housing 30 horses near their stable. They are worried about the safety of the horses and are hoping for a swift resolution to the investigation.

Nairobi ZGZ placed second with Paolo Adorno in the championship for 5-year-old foreign horses at the end of August in Arezzo. The horse's recovery will be closely watched as it prepares for the World Championship.

Our thoughts are with Paolo Adorno, Gaia Renzi, and all those affected by this tragic incident. We hope for a swift resolution to the investigation and a speedy recovery for Nairobi ZGZ.
