BTS returns with Swim, a cinematic anthem for their bold new era

BTS has returned with a new single, Swim, marking their first full-group release in years. The track arrives alongside a cinematic music video starring American actress Lili Reinhart. It also signals the start of a major new era for the band, including an album, tour, and documentary.

The video for Swim opens with Reinhart in a museum, gazing at a model ship. Later, she appears aboard a real vessel with BTS, who play supportive roles in her character's journey. The ship becomes a space of reflection, symbolising healing and forward movement.

*Swim* is the lead single from *Arirang*, BTS' fifth studio album and their first project together since completing military service. The synth-driven track blends introspective lyrics with an accessible melody, a hallmark of the group's recent work. They've described it as a song about perseverance, encouraging listeners to keep moving through life's challenges. The release kicks off a broader campaign, including a Netflix live special and a documentary. It also precedes the *Arirang* world tour, set for 2026–2027. The tour will span 34 regions, with 82 planned stops—one of their most extensive yet. Confirmed dates include two Munich shows at Allianz Arena on July 11 and 12, 2026. Reinhart's appearance marks her first collaboration with BTS. The band reunited in Lisbon to film the video, their first full-group project since focusing on solo careers.

The Arirang album and tour represent a fresh chapter for BTS after years of individual work. Swim sets the tone, blending personal themes with the group's signature sound. Fans can expect more details on the tour and documentary as the campaign unfolds.
