BTS potentially creating a tribute album in honor of Michael Jackson; agency provides commentary on matter

Reports of BTS recording a Michael Jackson tribute album have been circulating recently, but the band and their agency, BigHit Music, have officially denied any involvement in such a project.

The Irish Sun reported that BTS visited Grouse Lodge in Ireland and re-recorded one of Jackson's unreleased tracks. However, BigHit Music has stated that BTS has never visited Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland and has not recorded any music there. Paddy Dunning, the owner of Grouse Lodge, claimed that BTS visited the studio, but these claims were quickly refuted by BTS themselves.

The tribute album, as claimed by The Irish Sun, was to be released alongside a documentary about Michael Jackson and his family's summer in County Westmeath, Ireland. The Jackson tribute album, according to Dunning, reportedly includes about 10 more songs, written especially for Jackson by collaborators in Ireland, including producer Rodney Jerkins and rapper Nephew. However, no evidence was provided to support these claims.

The news of the Jackson tribute album has sparked excitement among BTS' fans who have often found influences of Michael Jackson's dance style in BTS' choreography. BTS' hit song 'Dynamite' was considered a tribute to Jackson, especially with a dance break that was inspired by Jackson's style. RM, one of the BTS members, even has an Instagram account named @joonrkive_ where he occasionally shares dance clips.

Despite the rumors, it is clear that BTS is not part of any Michael Jackson tribute album connected to Grouse Lodge studio, and the reports appear to be unfounded. BigHit Music is taking action to prevent the spread of inaccurate information about BTS and the Michael Jackson tribute album.

On a separate note, all seven BTS members have completed South Korea's mandatory military service, and the members are expected to put out a group album in 2026 and a world tour soon after. While some members, like Jin and J-hope, have been busy with their solo projects, the group is eager to return to the music scene and entertain their fans worldwide.
