In a recent clarification, BigHit Music, the agency representing global K-pop sensation BTS, has denied any involvement in a rumored Michael Jackson tribute album. The denial comes after reports suggested that BTS had recorded an unreleased Jackson track at Grouse Lodge Studios in Ireland.

Initial reports, published by media outlets such as The Irish Sun, claimed that BTS had visited the studio and recorded music for the tribute album, featuring unfinished tracks that Jackson worked on in 2006. These reports were based on statements from Paddy Dunning, the owner of Grouse Lodge Studios, who mentioned recording sessions involving BTS.

However, BigHit Music has swiftly refuted these claims, emphasizing that BTS is not connected to this project. The agency has confirmed that the group has not visited Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland nor recorded any music there as part of a Michael Jackson tribute album.

The denial of BTS' involvement in the project has put an end to the speculation that had been fueled by the news of the Jackson tribute album. Fans, who find influences of Jackson's dance style in BTS' choreography, were initially excited about the prospect of a tribute album.

Meanwhile, all seven members of BTS have completed South Korea's mandatory military service. The members are expected to release a group album in 2026 and a world tour soon after. Some members, like Jin and J-hope, have been busy with their solo projects.

The rumored tribute album, claimed to be called 'Jackson's next "Thriller"', had also mentioned the involvement of producers such as Rodney Jerkins and Nephew. However, with BTS' denial of participation, it remains to be seen if this project will move forward.

In a separate development, a documentary about Michael Jackson and his family's summer in County Westmeath, Ireland, has been announced. Michael Jackson had stayed at Grouse Lodge, an Irish recording studio, in 2006 while working on an unreleased album.
