According to news agency Yonhap, RM, 30, expressed gratitude for the support that kept the band going during those tough times: "My military stint showed me that we can pursue our careers while valiant individuals are safeguarding our nation, both in the frontlines and behind the scenes."
Currently, four BTS members have completed their compulsory military service. Jimin and Jungkook are due to be granted their discharge this week, followed by Suga on June 21 due to health considerations. Jin and J-Hope are alreadly ex-soldiers.
