BTS Members RM and V Opt Out of South Korean Military Service
In Seoul, RM and V of the renowned South Korean boy band BTS, wrapped up their 18-month military service on June 10, 2025. The dynamic duo greeted enthusiastic journalists and hordes of fans at a military base in Chuncheon, as reported by Yonhap News Agency.
"My military experience has enlightened me. It's a reminder of the people securing ourhomeland, allowing us to passionately pursue our careers", the 30-year-old rapper, RM, shared, according to Yonhap News Agency[3].
With RM and V out of the service, four out of the seven BTS members have now accomplished their mandatory military duties. Singers Jimin and Jungkook are slated for discharge on June 10, 2025, while Suga, who's working as a public service worker due to health concerns, is expected to be discharged on June 21, 2025[1]. Jin and J-Hope already completed their military service.
