BTS member V and BLACKPINK's Jennie have apparently ended their romantic relationship, according to certain reports.
There has been no official confirmation from either V's agency, BigHit Entertainment, or Jennie's agency, YG Entertainment, regarding the dating status or breakup of the K-pop idols. However, multiple reports suggest that they have parted ways just before V's upcoming military enlistment in 2025.
The dating rumors between V and Jennie had been brewing for over a year. The spark was ignited in December 2021 when V followed Jennie's Instagram account. YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK's agency, briefly commented on the matter, saying, "We have nothing to say."
In May 2022, photos of the two spending a vacation on Jeju Island circulated online. V expressed his concerns about the Instagram follow in a post on the social platform Weverse, stating, "Recommended by Instagram. Is there a way to get rid of this?...It's a scary app."
The couple was rumored to have broken up a few months after an online video of them holding hands in Paris was circulated in May. More alleged photos of Jennie and V continued to spread in the following months, but neither YG Entertainment nor BigHit Music commented on the dating rumors surrounding the two.
The Yonhap News Agency reported the alleged breakup of V and Jennie in October. In December, YG Entertainment confirmed that all four members of BLACKPINK have renewed their contracts for group activities. V and three other BTS members (RM, Jimin, and Jungkook) have started the military enlistment process for 2024.
