Bryson DeChambeau and Sergio Garcia Alter Their Pre-Competition Equipment in Anticipation for Taking Part in the LIV Golf Chicago Tournament

The LIV Golf League is gearing up for its penultimate event in Chicago, and several top players are shaking things up with equipment changes.

Bryson DeChambeau, one of the contenders, has switched his golf ball to a prototype Titleist Pro V1x Double Dot, inspired by Cameron Young's recent success with the same ball at the Wyndham Championship. DeChambeau is currently one shot back of the leaders.

Dustin Johnson, another leader, has swapped his TaylorMade QI10 3-wood for a TaylorMade R7 Quad Mini Driver.

Sergio Garcia, who shares the lead with Johnson, has made significant equipment changes, though the details are less clear. Garcia has been known to use various Scotty Cameron models, Golfyr The Maker, and LAB Golf Mezz Max as putters in the past. Before the Chicago event, he returned to a Scotty Cameron Del Mar 3.5. This is the fourth putter switch for Garcia this year.

Paul Casey has also made changes, switching his irons for a third consecutive event, going from the Titleist 620 MB to the Mizuno MP-5.

Thomas Pieters has changed his driver shaft from a Mitsubishi Diamana WB 73 D to Fujikura Ventus Black 7X.

These changes are part of larger efforts by players to find improved performance during the first round of the event at Bolingbrook Golf Club. The tournament continues with high anticipation as players strive for victory.
