Bryce James talks about guidance from LeBron and Bronny before starting at Arizona
Bryce James Prepared for Freshman Year with Arizona Wildcats
Bryce James, an incoming guard for the Arizona Wildcats, is ready to bring his talents to the college basketball scene. After finishing high school at Sierra Canyon, James decided to stay out west for college, following in the footsteps of his older brother, Bronny.
James' decision to attend Arizona was influenced by the atmosphere and energy of the fans at McKale Memorial Center in Tucson. The prospect of playing in front of such passionate supporters was a significant factor in his choice.
Bronny James offered his younger brother some advice, encouraging him to be consistent and focused as he embarks on his college career. LeBron James, Bryce's father, also offered words of wisdom, urging his son to be true to himself and maintain a positive mentality.
As Bryce James prepares to start his freshman year, he acknowledges that college basketball will be a different experience compared to high school. However, he is confident in his abilities and believes his shooting skills, basketball IQ, and defensive ability will be valuable contributions to the Wildcats.
The Arizona Wildcats, who had a Sweet 16 appearance last year, are now bolstered by Bryce James as part of their strong freshman class. In addition, Arizona had the No. 3 recruiting class this year, according to both 247 and Rivals.
Despite receiving offers from Ohio State and Duquesne, Bryce James chose Arizona. He expressed a desire to have the full college experience, rather than avoiding the spotlight.
James helped Sierra Canyon win a California state title in 2025, showcasing his potential on the court. He was rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, but his determination and positive attitude suggest he is ready to make an impact at the college level.
As Bryce James steps onto the court for the Arizona Wildcats, he will carry the advice of his family with him, working hard, staying positive, and keeping his head up, even on tough days.
