Brussels ARD studio now under the leadership of Hassel

In a significant shift at ARD, Germany's public broadcasting corporation, Markus Preiß has been appointed to take over as the head of both the ARD Hauptstadtstudio in Berlin and the ARD's Brussels studio, starting from June 2024.

Currently heading the ARD European studio in Brussels since 2016, Preiß will be stepping into the shoes of Tina Hassel, who has been leading the ARD's main studio in Berlin for nine years. Hassel will be moving to head the ARD Brussels studio in June 2024.

Preiß, who has previously worked as an ARD correspondent in Paris and Brussels, has not held a position at the ARD's Brussels studio before. However, he has experience with the ARD's main studio in Berlin.

Hassel, on the other hand, has had a significant amount of experience leading ARD studios, with tenures in Berlin, Washington, and Brussels. She has presented programs such as the "Report from Berlin" in the past, but will no longer be doing so after June 2024.

This handover of leadership positions at the ARD's Brussels and main studios in Berlin will occur in June 2024. With this change, Preiß will be taking over two ARD studio positions, marking a new chapter in the leadership of these important studios.

As for Hassel, she will no longer be leading any ARD studios after June 2024. However, her tenure at the ARD's main studio in Berlin will conclude with a notable achievement - the successful handover to her successor.

This transition marks an exciting time for both the ARD's Berlin and Brussels studios, as they welcome new leadership and continue to provide high-quality news and programming to their audiences.
