Bruce Springsteen tops two Billboard charts

In the dynamic world of music, July 4, 2025, marks a significant milestone as American icon Bruce Springsteen, affectionately known as "The Boss" by his fans, takes the top spot on Germany's official album charts with his latest release, "Tracks II: The Lost Albums."

This 83-track box set, featuring previously unreleased albums, debuted at number one, making it Springsteen's eleventh time reaching the top spot on the German album charts, according to the chart compilers at GfK Entertainment.

Interestingly, "Tracks II: The Lost Albums" is not Springsteen's only release on the charts. "Lost and Found: Selections From The Lost Albums," a best-of cross-section of his magnum opus, secured the fifth position.

Meanwhile, the German album charts also see the presence of other notable artists. Heaven Shall Burn, a German metal band, holds the second spot with their album "Heimat," with potential to reach the top position. Sodom's "The Arsonist" comes in at number four, while Lorde's album "Virgin," the New Zealand singer-songwriter's latest offering, is at number three.

In the single charts, Alex Warren, an American musician, continues his reign at the top with "Ordinary," holding the number one spot for the fifth week in a row. Zartmann, a Berlin singer, has seen a significant rise in the charts with his hit "Drown Me" moving up from number five to number two. Jazeek & Shindy, a rap duo, have also made a mark, with their song "Perfume" moving down from number two to number three.

This diverse range of artists and genres reflects the eclectic taste of the German music market, showcasing a strong presence of rock and metal, as well as pop. The music scene in Germany continues to thrive, offering a rich and vibrant tapestry of sounds for music lovers everywhere.
