The Johannsen Range Days 2025 in Kasseedorf, Schleswig-Holstein, marked a successful return, offering a variety of shooting opportunities for enthusiasts. Organised by Alljagd's managing director, Dirk Johannsen (Reimer Johannsen GmbH), the event was characterised by a pleasant and familiar atmosphere, smooth operation, and hardly any delays at the shooting stands.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the new Kahles K540i and K328i riflescopes, based on a new platform with a 36 mm central tube. These innovative scopes offer up to 40% more field of view and are priced at approximately 4,500,- Euro.

WAIMEX showcased a new variant of the Heckler & Koch SP5 for sports shooters, which will be available in German specialty stores from September. Steyr Arms showcased the new MS Wild, a precise hunting bolt-action rifle with a hammer-forged barrel, 700g direct trigger, and modern synthetic stock. It is available in popular calibres like .308 Winchester or .30-06 Springfield for approximately 2,300,- Euro.

Swarovski Optik presented optics for the highest demands, including the STR model with an integrated MRAD reticle and the BTX with fixed 35x magnification. Nocpix showcased a new generation of binocular thermal imaging devices, including the H50R model with a 640 sensor, 60 Hz frame rate, integrated laser rangefinder, AI-assisted image optimization (Vision Plus), and is available through specialist retailers in cooperation with MAWA.

Participants could experience trap and skeet at the shotgun stand, try the running boar at 100 meters, test various models at the handgun stand, shoot at distances up to 270 meters, and practice realistic hunting scenarios at the 100-meter stand. The Piexon JPX Jet Protector 2, an animal repellent device, was also presented at the event, now approved for free carry in Germany.

The event also featured the Sako 90, a highly accurate hunting rifle, and the Alljagd special edition of Steel Action, based on the Steel Action system, with an exclusive laminate stock from Stocon, an adjustable trigger, and an integrated bipod adapter.

Helmut Hofmann GmbH presented Tippmann AR-style semi-automatic rifles in .22 l.r. caliber, perfect for beginners, with the UVP between 800 and 1000,- Euro. RWS showcased the Steel Action HSL, a slimmer version of the bolt-action rifle series with reduced weight, revised wooden stock, 17 mm thick semi-weight barrel, and adjustable trigger weight.

SIG Sauer presented the limited edition P226 X-Five "Sunburst" in a run of only 60 pieces, priced at just under 5,000,- Euro. Manfred Alberts presented two Beretta shotgun models: The Silver Pigeon Jagd and the 688 Black Edition Sporting, with the Silver Pigeon starting at approximately 2,340,- Euro and the 688 Black at approximately 3,500,- Euro. RWS presented the new Glock 43X with Aimpoint Acro optics at the event, available exclusively as a set with five Glock models starting at a price of 1,380 Euro.

Despite some initial issues with exhibitors roughly sighting in their setups on the first day, these were quickly resolved and did not dampen the enjoyment. The Hanseatic Barbecue Club took care of food and drinks, ensuring a satisfying end to a varied day at the shooting range. The team hopes for a repeat next year.
