Broadway theatre ticket prices for Tom Felton's appearance in 'Harry Potter' play
In an exciting turn of events, Tom Felton, best known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the "Harry Potter" series, is making his Broadway debut with the Tony Award-winning play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child." This marks the first screen-to-stage jump for any actor from the long-running Harry Potter franchise.
Felton's co-star, Erik Christopher Peterson, who plays Scorpius Malfoy, is also making his Broadway debut. Peterson graduated with a BFA in Acting from The Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University.
Tom Felton expressed that playing Draco Malfoy in "Cursed Child" will be a full-circle moment for him, as he will be the exact age of the character during the performances. His stint has been extended to 19 weeks, with the last show scheduled for May 10, 2026.
Daniel Fredrick, who portrays Ron Weasley, has previously appeared on Broadway in "Take Me Out" and "The Lehman Trilogy." Cara Ricketts, who plays Hermione Granger, has been seen on Broadway in "Jaja's African Hair Braiding" or "For Colored Girls." Matthew James Thomas, who plays Harry Potter, has an impressive Broadway resume, having appeared in "Pippin" and "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark."
The play, which picks up 19 years after Harry, Ron, and Hermione graduated from Hogwarts, features a new generation of wizards, including Harry's son Albus and Draco's boy Scorpius.
