BBC Radio 1's New Music Live Returns to Cardiff in September

BBC Radio 1 is set to bring its New Music Live event back to Tramshed in Cardiff on September 24, 2025. This year's lineup promises an exciting mix of emerging artists and established acts, including Aitch B2B AJ Tracey, Artemas, Good Neighbours, Inhaler, Jordan Adetunji, Barry Can't Swim, Nia Archives, D.O.D, Prospa, Jazzy, Confidence Man, Katy B, Flo, Self Esteem, South Arcade, Joy Crookes, and Brit winner JADE, who will be headlining the Sunday event[1].

The New Music Live event is part of Radio 1's Big Weekend, which will also feature the Main Stage and Dance Stage with a variety of artists[1]. Aled Haydn Jones, head of Radio 1, emphasizes the station's continued support for emerging artists and grassroots venues, stating, "We're thrilled to be returning to Cardiff and shining a spotlight on the city's vibrant music scene."

Among the acts performing at the event are Panic Shack, who are excited to perform songs from their brand new debut album in their hometown. Jools, who has been featured on BBC Introducing Rock, Radio 1's Indie Show, Future Artists, and Radio 1's Rock Show, is also set to take the stage. Jools considers Radio 1's support an honor during their journey as a band.

Keo, who has been supported by Jack Saunders and Sian Eleri, is looking forward to their first show in Cardiff with Radio 1. Florence Road, who has been supported by Jack Saunders, Sian Eleri, and BBC Introducing, will also make their debut at the event. Florence Road is hyped to play Radio 1's New Music Live, especially since the show is in their hometown of Cardiff.

Jools is excited to be playing Radio 1 New Music Live alongside three other bands, with Jack Saunders, Daniel P Carter, Alyx Holcombe, and Sian Eleri hosting the event. Performances will be available live and on demand via iPlayer and BBC Sounds.
