The news came out recently that Jamie Spears lost a leg due to an infection. And guess who was quick off the mark to share her thoughts? Britney herself, with a pair of posts on Instagram! In one post, the Princess of Pop shared some old family photos, and what a surprise that was!

That's not all. In her second Instagram post, Britney got down to some seriously slick moves, dancing to the 1958 Peggy Lee hit "Fever." In the video, she's wearing a pink lace frock, and she explains, "Filmed last night, but my dress was too big."
On the same day, reports rolled in that Jamie had had his leg amputated. After multiple surgeries, the docs decided the only option was to remove the leg. Jamie had been in the hospital for weeks with an infection in one of his legs. "He had five unsuccessful operations to contain the infection," said an anonymous source as quoted in "TMZ." Unfortunately, Jamie isn't doing great even a month after the amputation.
Britney's pops took over as her guardian way back in 2008. Over time, the singer grew increasingly frustrated with the arrangement and even fell out with her family. In November 2021, she finally had the last laugh – her years-long battle for freedom ended, and the guardianship was terminated after 13 years.
