British men's basketball team to stage matches against Nicholls State, Eastern Illinois, and Valparaiso at the BBN United Tipoff Classic event
Kentucky Wildcats Announce 2021-2022 Men's Basketball Schedule
The University of Kentucky has finalised the schedule for the upcoming 2021-2022 men's basketball season, with the Wildcats set to face a diverse array of opponents over the course of November 2021 to March 2022.
The season will kick off on November 4 with the Wildcats hosting Nicholls State in the season opener. Kentucky will then participate in the BBN United Tipoff Classic at Rupp Arena, taking on Nicholls State, Valparaiso, and Eastern Illinois. The contest against Eastern Illinois will be on November 14, while the Valparaiso matchup will follow on November 18, with the Wildcats squaring off against Michigan State in the Champions Classic at Madison Square Garden on the same day.
The Wildcats will face North Carolina Central on December 9, with the location yet to be announced. Kentucky will then face Loyola of Maryland on November 21 before taking on North Carolina in the ACC/SEC Challenge on December 2. The series against Gonzaga will be played at Bridgestone Arena on December 5.
The home games in January include Missouri (Jan. 6 or 7), Mississippi State (Jan. 10), Texas (Jan. 20 or 21), and Ole Miss (Jan. 24). Kentucky will face Tennessee Tech on November 26 and take on Louisville on November 11. The Wildcats have five road games in the first month of the calendar year, including LSU (Jan. 14 or 14), Tennessee (Jan. 17), Vanderbilt (Jan. 27 or 28), and close out the month on Jan. 31 at Arkansas.
Kentucky will host Bellarmine on December 23 and Indiana at Rupp Arena on December 13. The season-ending regular season games will be against Texas A&M on March 3 or 4 and will close out against Florida on March 7 at Rupp Arena.

This marks the first time Kentucky will face Nicholls State and Eastern Illinois. The Wildcats have a history of success against Valparaiso, having defeated them 87-63 in 2016 and securing an 83-68 win in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2002 in Saint Louis. The Wildcats have also defeated Valparaiso in the previous two meetings.
