British Cyclist Max Hereward Joins Zappi's Development Squad in Italy

Max Hereward, a skilled British cyclist, has made waves in the domestic scene, earning a spot in the British under-23 National Road Series this year. Now, he sets his sights on the international stage with an invitation to join Zappi's development squad in Italy next season.

Hereward, who describes himself as an 'all-rounder', has proven his mettle on short, punchy climbs. His impressive performances include winning several races for his former club team, 360cycling, and securing a fourth place finish at the British National Circuit Race Championships. His teammate's recommendation led to his invitation to Zappi's squad.

To fund his move, Hereward has launched a crowdfunder, raising over £2,000 so far. He has also applied for support from The Rayner Foundation and The Dallaglio Foundation. His goal is to raise £11,500 to cover race and equipment costs, though he's open to making up the difference elsewhere if needed. The absence of British men's UCI Continental teams has limited his progression in the UK cycling scene, making this opportunity all the more significant.

Max Hereward's journey to Italy is well underway, with over £2,000 raised so far. His determination and skill have earned him a spot in Zappi's development squad, and with your support, he can make the most of this opportunity. Donations can be made to his GoFundMe page, helping to cover race and equipment costs as he pursues his dream of competing internationally.
