British comedian entertains crowd in Estepona, Spain
Get ready for a night of laughter as Stand-Up Comedy Spain and Louie Louie Live Estepona present an English-language stand-up comedy show on September 25. The event will take place at Louie Louie, located opposite the harbor in Estepona.
The show will be hosted by Nik Coppin, a globetrotting comedian with a 20-year career in comedy. Nik has performed in Edinburgh, Hollywood, and Southeast Asia, earning four-and-a-half stars from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He will serve as the master of ceremonies for the evening.
The headlining act is Stephen Carlin, a Scottish comedian who is celebrated as one of Stewart Lee's "Ten Best Stand-Up Comedians Ever." Critics have described Stephen as "laconic laced with Red Bull... announcing the arrival of a new comedy original" (Scottish Herald). Stephen is known for transforming everyday absurdities into warped masterpieces, delivered in his typical brogue. He has appeared on BBC's Comedy Underground and Comedy Central's Alternative Comedy Experience.
Stephen Carlin is not the only notable act on the bill. James Danielewski, a rising star in the stand-up comedy world, will also perform. James is a charming, friendly comedian who brings high-octane energy and shares stories about dating disasters, family quirks, and Northern grit. He is a runner-up in the 2024 Komedia New Comedy Award and LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year. Chortle refers to James as a "charming, friendly comedian."
The evening will kick off with Mandy McCarthy, a comedian known for her relatable tales of family chaos and the hilarious hurdles of ageing. Mandy's performances mix incisive observations on life's joys and gripes into performances that leave audiences engaged, empathetic, and in stitches.
