British band Kula Shaker unveil their upcoming album 'Wormslayer' with the psychedelic track 'Good Money', along with a tour date schedule for the UK in 2026.
Kula Shaker Announces New Album and UK Tour
Renowned British band Kula Shaker has made a series of exciting announcements, including a new album titled 'Wormslayer', set for release on January 30, and a UK tour scheduled for early next year.
The band, consisting of Crispian Mills (vocals/guitar), Alonza Bevan (bass), Paul Winterhart (drums), and Jay Darlington (Hammond organ), has been hard at work creating new music, and 'Wormslayer' is the result. The album will contain the previously released singles 'Charge of the Light Brigade' and 'Broke as Folk', as well as other new songs such as 'Little Darling' and the elaborate, cinematic title track.
The UK tour will kick off at the Concorde 2 in Brighton on February 7 and continue across the first half of February. The tour will consist of six shows, with stops in Cambridge, Holmfirth, Glasgow, Manchester, and London's Islington Assembly Hall. Tickets for the UK tour will go on sale at 9:30am BST on Friday (September 19), but pre-sale options will commence tomorrow (18).
In addition to the UK tour, Kula Shaker has also announced a North American tour, which will find them joining The Dandy Warhols as special guests. US tickets for the North American tour can be found here.
Today, Kula Shaker shared a new song from the album called 'Good Money'. Crispian Mills, the frontman of Kula Shaker, stated that 'Good Money' is a metaphor for the music business and life. The music video for 'Good Money' is entirely AI generated, with Mills claiming that it was made by two monkeys who were given the song and lyrics.
'Good Money' is a story about a boy in a small community who grows wings and how the local people treat him. The song includes nods to psychedelia, alongside hints of soul and funk genres.
Kula Shaker's tour in Germany in 2026 is scheduled to take place at the Technikum in Munich. Fans can look forward to an exciting and immersive live experience as Kula Shaker brings their new music to stages across the UK and North America.
