Britbet Expands to 19 UK Racecourses, Boosting Pool Betting Reach
Britbet is set to expand its reach, taking over as both host and operator for pool betting at 19 British racecourses from November 1. The agreement covers 16 racecourses run by Arena Racing Company (Arc) and 3 independents, marking a significant growth for Britbet.
Racegoers at these courses will place bets at Britbet-branded outlets, with wagers going into Britbet-hosted pools powered by i-Neda software. Core bet types will still be accessible via the UK Tote website and app, and all Placepot bets will remain in Tote-hosted pools. Britbet aims to maintain core bets and takeout rates, offering an 'SP guarantee' on Britbet pools at Britbet racecourses.
Notably, Ascot, Chester, and Bangor are excluded as they operate their own in-house betting systems. Britbet, which has been operating betting pools on greyhound tracks since 2022, seeks to build global liquidity and innovate with new bet types and experiences. From November 1, Britbet will operate at racecourses such as Doncaster, Chepstow, Lingfield, and Newcastle, along with Hexham, Newton Abbot, and Ripon. Pools on core bet types will not be separated, ensuring liquidity from various sources.
Britbet's expansion into 19 British racecourses signals a significant growth for the company. With new bet types like Superfecta, Pick 4, and Pick 6 on the horizon, Britbet is poised to enhance the betting experience for racegoers while maintaining familiar core bets and takeout rates.
