Britain's made a move! A Russian diplomat and their partner have been booted from the UK. The Foreign Office in the heart of London spilled the beans on Wednesday, indicating this was a response to kicking out two British embassy bigwigs in Russia earlier in the week.

According to the Foreign Office, they gave the Russian Ambassador to the UK, Andrei Kelin, a piece of their mind following a series of aggressive and coordinated harassments of British diplomats, an alleged attempt to force the British embassy's closure in Moscow. Kelin was informed that the UK would not sit idly by while diplomats and their families faced intimidation. In response, the ministry knuckled down and yanked the accreditation of a Russian diplomat and their partner, no confirmed exit date as of now.

On Monday, the Russian domestic security service FSB, as reported by state news agency RIA Novosti, painted the expelled British diplomats as liars in their visa applications and involved in clandestine intelligence activities that purportedly threatened Russia's security. No evidence was disclosed. RIA Novosti announced that their accreditation was revoked, giving them two weeks to vacate Russia.

The British Foreign Secretary harped that Russia is trying to push for the British embassy's closure in Moscow, neglecting the hazardous repercussions. "Strength is the only remedy for Russia's descending spiral," the ministry added.
