Bridgerton's Fourth Season Plot Details, Main Cast, Release Schedule, and Current Information
Bridgerton Season 4: A Cinderella-Like Tale Unfolds in Early 2026
Get ready, Bridgerton fans! The fourth season of the popular Netflix series is expected to grace our screens in January or February 2026. This anticipated release aligns closely with the tie-in book release and follows a nearly nine-month production schedule starting late 2024.
The story in Bridgerton season 4 has a Cinderella-like feel, with Benedict Bridgerton, the second-oldest brother in the family, taking centre stage. Luke Thompson will play Benedict, known for his creative, kind, and not-in-a-rush-to-get-married personality.
Joining Benedict will be a host of new characters, including Sophie Baek, a maid with her own secrets, played by Yerin Ha. Sophie's mysterious past is set to add an exciting twist to the season.
Michelle Mao will play Rosamund Li and Isabella Wei will portray Posy Li. Masali Baduza will take on the role of Michaela Stirling, while Victor Alli will play John Stirling. Martin Imhangbe will play Will Mondrich, and Emma Naomi will portray Alice Mondrich.
The returning cast includes familiar faces such as Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton, Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma, Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury, Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown, Lorraine Ashbourne as Mrs. Varley, Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Bridgerton, Hannah Dodd as Francesca Stirling, Daniel Francis as Lord Marcus Anderson, Ruth Gemmell as Violet Bridgerton, Florence Hunt as Hyacinth Bridgerton, Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte, Hugh Sachs as Brimsley, Will Tilston as Gregory Bridgerton, Polly Walker as Portia Featherington, and Isabella Wei as Posy Li.
Netflix has confirmed that Bridgton season 4 will consist of 8 episodes. Filming is set to begin in September 2024 and will last about nine months, which aligns with a release early next year. The showrunner mentioned that production, plus editing and dubbing, takes around eight months, fitting a 2026 premiere following filming.
Historically, each Bridgerton season launched roughly two years apart. With Season 3 arriving in June 2024 after Season 2’s March 2022 release, the early-2026 date shortens that gap slightly.
We can't wait to see how these new characters and their stories intertwine with the Bridgerton family in the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more updates!
