Bridgerton Season 4 Leads 2026’s Star-Studded Book-to-Screen Adaptations

Several major books are set to hit screens in 2026. Adaptations range from classic epics to modern romances. However, only one of these projects has been officially confirmed so far.

Among the announced adaptations is An Offer from a Gentleman by Julia Quinn. This book will return as Bridgerton – Season 4 on Netflix, produced under Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland banner. The series will feature episodes directed by returning Bridgerton directors, though no single film director is credited for the season.

Other titles slated for 2026 include A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George R.R. Martin, People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry, and The Odyssey by Homer. Diana Gabaldon’s Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone and Rufi Thorpe’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles are also in development. Additionally, Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary and Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah are expected to receive screen versions.

Despite earlier speculation, no confirmed adaptations have been announced for Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins, Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, or Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover.

The 2026 adaptation lineup includes a mix of fantasy, romance, and sci-fi. Bridgerton – Season 4 remains the only project with a confirmed release. Further details on directors, casts, and formats for the other titles are still pending.
