Brian Setzer reopens his Reverb store, offering up a collection of vintage items from his stage-played gems
Brian Setzer Sells Vintage Gear on Reverb
Rockabilly legend Brian Setzer is selling a collection of his vintage guitars and gear on his official Reverb platform. The Stray Cats guitarist, known for his electrifying rockabilly guitar playing, is also offering some rare vintage gems that he has not parted with before.
Among the items up for grabs is a Hiwatt Custom Tape Echo, which was used when Setzer played on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. This echo unit, a staple in his live setup, is now available for purchase.
Setzer is not selling his main hollow-body Gretsch guitars but is offering some other interesting pieces. One of these is a 1959 D'Angelico New Yorker guitar, featuring split block inlays and a sunburst finish. Despite some scratches on its back and a small scratch or crack on its headstock, the guitar is in impressively pristine shape.
Another vintage gem is a 1964 Gibson Firebird in its original Cardinal Red finish. This guitar, along with three Gretsch acoustic guitars, will also be available for purchase.
One of the Gretsch acoustic guitars is a G Brand Gretsch Rancher that was used on various tours. Another Gretsch acoustic guitar offered is a Black Rancher build, with two of them featuring a falcon headstock.
Brian Setzer has been struggling with autoimmune disease, which started with hand cramps while on tour last year. However, he updates his fans that he is 'getting better day by day.' Despite his health challenges, Setzer continues to share his passion for music through his gear sales and upcoming releases.
On September 24, Setzer will release multiple guitars, amplifiers, and other musical equipment on his Reverb store. This includes his signature Gretsch guitars like the Gretsch G6120T-BSSMK Brian Setzer Signature Nashville '59 'Smoke' and various other guitars and amps he has brought to Reverb.
Fans of Brian Setzer and rockabilly music can now own a piece of his history by purchasing these vintage guitars and gear. For more information and to make a purchase, visit Setzer's Reverb store.
