The Milwaukee Brewers continued their epic form, winning 9-2 against the struggling Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday night. This was the Brewers' fourth victory in five games, while the Angels have now lost six games in a row, ensuring their 10th consecutive losing season.

Brandon Woodruff pitched 5 solid innings for the Brewers, allowing just 2 runs. On the other hand, the Angels' woes continued as they started with an injured José Soriano, who was forced to exit the game after being struck by a line drive. X-rays for Soriano were negative, but he will undoubtedly miss some time.

In a key moment of the game, Sal Frelick hit a three-run homer for the Brewers, extending their lead to 6-2. Frelick tied his career high with 5 RBIs in the game. Mike Trout, who remains stuck on 399 career home runs, went 0 for 4 with three strikeouts.

Taylor Ward provided the Angels' offense with homers in the 4th and 6th innings, but it wasn't enough to prevent the defeat. Connor Brogdon came on in relief for the Angels and gave up an opposite-field single to Blake Perkins.

The series finale will be played on Wednesday, with LHP Yusei Kikuchi (6-11, 4.08 ERA) starting for the Angels against Brewers RHP Quinn Priester (13-2, 3.25). Kikuchi has struggled this season, while Priester has been a consistent performer for the Brewers.

The Brewers have been in excellent form at home, winning 4 of their last 5 games at Miller Park. Meanwhile, the Angels have lost 7 games in a row, including their series against the Seattle Mariners. The Brewers have also won 5 of their last 6 games, demonstrating their resilience and determination.

This victory moves the Brewers closer to securing a playoff spot, while the Angels continue to struggle, looking forward to a better season next year.
