Brentford reportedly considering £20m bid for a Liverpool player; Mark Flekken apparently soon to join Bayer Leverkusen.

Liverpool's backup goalkeeper, Caoimhin Kelleher, is reportedly attracting interest from several English clubs this summer. With the arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, Kelleher appears set to depart Liverpool in search of regular first-team football.

One of the clubs keenly interested in Kelleher is Brentford, according to reports. The West London club has already made an approach to Liverpool for the goalkeeper, who could serve as a potential successor to Mark Flekken, who is close to joining Bayer Leverkusen. Brentford's strong relationship with Liverpool may give them an edge in this potential transfer.

West Ham United and Leeds United are also believed to be interested in Kelleher, offering him an opportunity to secure a starting role. Bournemouth and Aston Villa are potential suitors as well, given Bournemouth's loan deal with Kepa Arrizabalaga has expired, and Aston Villa might lose Emiliano Martinez.

Liverpool have set an asking price of £20 million for Kelleher, who has just over a year left on his contract. The 24-year-old Republic of Ireland international has made 46 appearances for the Reds over the past two seasons, starting in back-to-back Carabao Cup finals when Alisson Becker was injured. However, Alisson remains with the club, and the signing of Mamardashvili indicates that the goalkeeper position at Anfield is no longer up for grabs.
