Bremen's ÖVB-Arena Still Known as ÖVB-Arena

The OVB Arena in Bremen, Germany, has announced an extension to its sponsorship contract with Öffentliche Versicherungen Bremen (OVB), a local insurance company. This partnership, which began in 2011, will see the arena continue to bear the ÖVB-Arena name until the end of 2028.

This collaboration has proven to be a successful one, with the OVB Arena hosting a variety of notable cultural and music events. Concerts by international and national music stars, such as Sarah Connor, Powerwolf, and Finch Asozial, regularly take place at the venue. Notable events also include ice shows like the Holiday on Ice, scheduled for February 2026.

The OVB Arena, constructed in the early 1960s, can accommodate up to 14,000 guests, making it one of the top ten event halls in Germany. The arena's popularity is evident in its busy schedule, with major sporting events also occurring regularly.

Ingo Gosling, CEO of M3B, who is responsible for the OVB Arena, expressed his pleasure with the continuation of the trusting cooperation. Dr. Harm Meyer-Stiens, Director of Marketing at OVB insurances, stated that OVB's commitment to the OVB Arena fits perfectly. He also added that OVB belongs to Bremen like the key to the coat of arms.

The extension of the sponsorship contract was made prematurely, demonstrating the strong bond between the two parties. This partnership extension ensures that the OVB Arena will continue to be a vibrant and popular event location in Bremen for the foreseeable future.

The OVB Arena, known for hosting a variety of events, will continue to promote sports alongside culture, with the possibility of football matches being scheduled.
