Bremen's Green-Gold Club Stuns in Belgium at "Let's Dance" Event

In the Belgian edition of the popular dance show "Dancing with the Stars", Michele Cantanna, a professional dancer and dance teacher at the Bremer Grün-Gold Club, and his dance partner Hannelore Simoens set the stage ablaze, ultimately ending in fourth place. Despite a standing ovation from the studio audience, their journey in the competition fell short of the finale.

Cantanna shared his emotional reflections with our website, expressing his initial unexpected progress to the semi-finals and the formidable competition he faced. Despite high hopes for a finale appearance, it was the Belgian audience’s votes, combined with the dance jury's assessments, that decided the finalists.

Previously, Cantanna served as a choreographer for the German equivalent of "Dancing with the Stars" - "Let's Dance" - and even auditioned as a professional dancer. However, an offer from Belgium at the turn of the year enticed him to participate in the Belgian show.

The Bremer Grün-Gold Club has been represented by three professional dancers in the current 18th season of the German "Let's Dance": Malika Dzumaev (who triumphed in the previous season), Evgeny Vinokurov, and Zsolt Sándor Cseke, with Cseke achieving the best placement. The competition’s finale will take place next Friday evening, featuring Cseke and Vinokurov in the professional challenge. Although Dzumaev, who is celebrating a decade of dancing with Cseke, will be absent this time due to a herniated disc, the pair could potentially win the trophy in 2023.

Michele Cantanna, a Vice World Champion in Latin Show Dance, shining on the dance floor as a professional dancer, is a testament to Bremen's dance community and the opportunities it offers its members. Despite the heartbreaking ending in Belgium, Cantanna's involvement in "Dancing with the Stars Belgium" serves as a testament to his accomplishments and dedication to the art of dance.

Michele Cantanna, who is known for his successful career as a professional dancer, teaches at the Bremer Grün-Gold Club in Germany. In his leisure time, he enjoys participating in sports like the popular dance show "Dancing with the Stars" in Belgium. Despite not making it to the finale in the Belgian edition, his involvement in the show showcases his dedication to dance.
