The GBCA Boys Georgia Live event is a crucial summer event in college coaches' schedules, providing them an opportunity to scout top Georgia talent under one roof during the NCAA's June Scholastic Live Period.

Alexander (Douglas County, Ga.) stole the spotlight, securing the championship in the Purple Division, filled with state champions and runners-up from last year. Hillgrove (Powder Springs, Ga.) also left a significant impact by triumphing in the Orange Division in a competitive bracket.

With 160 teams in ten different brackets, GBCA Live served as an excellent exposure opportunity for Georgia teams before the GBCA Boys SE Live event (June 27-29), highlighting top teams across the Southeast Region.

Green, among the top 100 wings in 2026, displayed his skills as he did at the Pangos All-American Camp. An elite athlete, he played with strength and power on both ends. He excelled both on and off the ball, dominating fast breaks and scoring from various spots on the floor. His ability to stretch the floor with knockdown shooting made him a challenging opponent. Defensively, he was a force, grabbing rebounds and blocking shots effectively.

Hayes Jr., a top 40 rising talent, impressed at the first scholastic live period. He is a swift, quick guard with the ability to score rapidly. He was a tough shot-maker, hitting shots from all over the floor often over defenders. Hayes averaged 22.2 points per game over the weekend and had the highest single-game total in Emerson, scoring 42 points in a loss against Jonesboro.

Montgomery emerged as one of the top stock risers at the GBCA Live event, shining as a strong leader and talented performer on both ends of the court. He was instrumental in leading Hillgrove to the title, demonstrating outstanding leadership throughout the competition. A versatile and athletic player, Montgomery excelled as a defensive stopper both at the rim and on the boards, while also effectively distributing the offense as a primary ball-handler. His improved shooting skills made him a Challenge for opponents.

Pourchier is a strong, athletic big man with a high motor on both ends. Pourchier delivered a great effort on both ends for his North Oconee team, even though his team didn't put up the best results over the weekend. His ability to play with his back to the basket and stretch the defense, combined with his consistent mid-range shooting, made him a difficult matchup. Pourchier also rebounded well and finished above the rim multiple times via the put-back or off lobs.

  1. Jerrin Samuel, Winder Barrow (Winder, Ga.) 6-5 2027 (Offers: Mercer, Tennessee Tech, Georgia Southern, Marshall)

Samuel displayed his versatility as a leader for the Winder-Barrow team, guiding it to a record of 3-1 over the weekend. Described as a smooth, long, left-handed guard capable of scoring from all three levels, Samuel averaged 25 points per game over the weekend, highlighting his impressive scoring ability. In addition to his offensive prowess, Samuel impact the defensive end with intense on-ball pressure. He was aggressive, making crucial hustle plays that stopped opponents' scoring runs or ignited his team's scoring runs.

  1. Kingston Whitty, Holy Innocents' Episcopal School (Atlanta, Ga.) 6-2 2026 (Offers: Belmont, Northeastern, UIC, Loyola)

Fresh from a state championship last season, Whitty continued to impress this weekend as the starting point guard for Holy Innocents. He is a quick and strong guard with exceptional leadership skills. A reliable shooter, Whitty demonstrated the ability to score from all three levels, making opponents think twice about leaving him open. With one of the highest basketball IQs at Lakepoint, he controlled all four games from start to finish. Considered one of the top guards in the state, he added multiple scholarship offers to his resume this past weekend.
