Following the appointment of Heiner Backhaus as the new head coach for Eintracht Braunschweig in Bundesliga II for the 2025/26 season, the club has also extended the contracts of co-trainers Marc Pfitzner and Jasmin Fejzic.

Pfitzner, who previously acted as interim coach for Eintracht Braunschweig in the relegation playoffs, will now remain with the club until June 30, 2028. Fejzic's contract has been extended until June 30, 2027.

Benjamin Kessel, the sporting director of Eintracht Braunschweig, praised the work of both trainers. He stated that they are extremely committed and constantly developing. Kessel also added that they do an excellent job and embody the spirit of Eintracht Braunschweig.

Backhaus aims to bring more stability and future success to the club, and he has already made several player additions to strengthen the squad. Mehmet Aydin, Ron-Thorben Hoffmann, and Lino Tempelmann from Schalke, as well as Louis Breunig, Robin Heußer, and Lukas Frenkert, are among the new players. The new captain appointed under Backhaus is midfielder Köhler, who is 28 years old.

The community aid for the steel industry and other sectors, and the environment, may benefit from the renewed stability and success at Eintracht Braunschweig in Bundesliga II, as the club extends the contracts of co-trainers Marc Pfitzner and Jasmin Fejzic. Meanwhile, football enthusiasts, particularly in European-leagues, would be eager to see how the newly-appointed head coach, Heiner Backhaus, will lead the team in the 2025/26 season and beyond.
