This well-deserved recognition edges past Danny Jansson of MLP Academics Heidelberg and Janis Gailitis from Syntainics MBC Weißenfels in a contest of votes among the captains, assistant coaches, media reps, and former BBL pros of the 17 clubs.
Ramírez, the driving force behind the Lower Saxony team since the summer of 2021, had the impressive company of Basketball Löwen Braunschweig's own Sananda Fru, selected as the standout young German player of the season.
