Strong Performance by India's Junior Golfers in APGC Championship

In the recently concluded Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) Junior Championship in Hong Kong, two Indian amateur golfers, Ranveer Mitroo and Krish Chawla, showcased a commendable performance. The duo managed a fifth-place finish in the boys' team competition, posting a combined total of four-over 430.

Individually, Ranveer Mitroo, just 16 years old, displayed an impressive performance, finishing in sixth place with a total score of two-under 211. The final round saw him card a modest two-over 73. Krish Chawla, on the other hand, ended the tournament in 22nd place with a total of six-over 219.

In the girls' category, Saanvi Somu and Kashika faced conditions less than ideal, with illness and challenging weather hampering their performance. Nevertheless, the pair managed an eighth-place finish in the girls' team event with a total of 16-over 448.

China's Jin Heng Yan and Jin Han emerged victorious in the boys' team title, while New Zealand's Cooper Moore took home the boys' individual title with a two-stroke margin over Tuan Anh Nguyen of Vietnam.

Ranveer Mitroo described the APGC Junior Championship as an invaluable learning experience that offered him significant confidence and a better understanding of his strengths and areas in need of improvement. The challenging atmosphere amidst talented competitors has motivated him to push his limits further.
