Abass Baraou Crowned New WBA Super Welterweight Champion
In an exciting turn of events, German boxer Abass Baraou has claimed the World Boxing Association (WBA) super welterweight title. The news was confirmed by a spokesperson for Wasserman Boxing, citing a letter from the WBA.
Baraou secured the interim title last month in Orlando, USA, after a hard-fought twelve-round battle against undefeated Cuban boxer Yoenis Tellez. The victory was a unanimous points decision by the judges.
