Kazakh Boxing Duo Secures Historic Victory at World Championships

The Sabyrkhan brothers, Mahmut and Torekhan, have made history at the boxing world championships in Liverpool, England. The dynamic duo clinched gold medals in their respective weight categories, with Mahmut triumphing in the 55kg division and Torekhan becoming the youngest champion in Kazakh boxing history at 70kg.

The Kazakh team, led by the Sabyrkhan brothers, shone brightly at the tournament, winning a total of 7 gold medals and topping the overall standings. Their success was celebrated at the victory ceremony held at Shymkent International Airport, where they were greeted by the Deputy Akim of the city, Sarsen Kuranbek, heads of sports schools and coaches, fellow countrymen, fans, and relatives.

Torekhan's victory was a hard-fought one against Japanese boxer Sevon Okazawa, while Mahmut secured his win against Spanish boxer Rafael Lozano. Their achievements are set to be immortalised in golden letters in the history of Kazakh sport.
