Boxing Masterclass with World Title Holder
In the heart of Sochi, during the "Movement" real estate forum held from June 24 to 28, 2021, an open training session with three-time Russian boxing champion and current world champion Nune Asatryan took place. The event was organised by the Nikolay Amosov group of companies, who are well-known for their support of educational institutions and the professional growth of their graduates.
Asatryan, a silver medalist of the 2024 European Championship and an International Master of Sports, captivated the audience with her demonstration of basic boxing combinations and defence techniques. She also shared insights into her journey to becoming a champion, emphasising the importance of setting goals, strategic preparation, belief in success, and overcoming difficulties.
Asatryan, a graduate of the Krasnodar martial arts school "Imperial", paid special attention to proper breathing and concentration techniques during the session. She encouraged participants to focus on these aspects to improve their performance and endurance.
The training session concluded with a friendly competition for the strongest punch, with the winners receiving boxing glove sets autographed by Asatryan.
It is important to clarify that while Nikolay Amosov is a renowned cardiologist, heart surgeon, inventor, and academic, there is no widely documented evidence linking him directly to the development of boxing or martial arts in the Krasnodar region or elsewhere.
However, the Krasnodar region, situated in southern Russia, boasts a rich tradition in combat sports, including boxing, sambo, judo, and martial arts. Local sports organisations, trainers, and athletes have contributed significantly to the growth of these disciplines.
The TOCHNO DOBRO charity foundation, which continuously supports athletes, was announced as the winner of the "Governor of Kuban Grants" competition, as reported by "Live Kuban". The foundation has played a crucial role in the region's sports development, including the construction and handover of the Krasnodar martial arts school "Imperial" to the city's boxing and wrestling federations on a free-of-charge basis in 2020.
Asatryan expressed her gratitude towards Nikolay Andreyevich for creating opportunities for Kuban athletes and developing boxing, sambo, and judo in the region. She thanked him for his unwavering support, which has undoubtedly contributed to the growth and success of local athletes.
