Boxing Champion Emerges Victorious in Birobidzhan Contest (Chita boxer wins competition in Birobidzhan)

In the heart of Russia's Far East, the city of Khabarovsk played host to the Far East Kyokushin Championship from June 26 to 29. This prestigious event, organised by the regional Ministry of Sports, brought together young competitors born in 2009 and 2010.

The tournament was held in memory of Lev Grigoryevich Toitman, an honorary citizen of the Jewish Autonomous Region, whose contributions to sports and the community were greatly admired.

In the All-Russian boxing tournament "Shalom-2025", held concurrently, a standout performer was Fedor Podolyak from Zabaykalsk. Podolyak triumphed in the weight category up to 75 kilograms, demonstrating his exceptional skills and determination.

Meanwhile, athletes from Zabaykalsky Krai also made their mark at the Far East Kyokushin Championship, securing a total of 13 medals. Among these victories was a notable one by a boxer from Chita, although further details about this athlete were not available.
