Boxer Anthony Joshua plans to face off against three opponents, with Tyson Fury's potential change of mind still uncertain.
Anthony Joshua's desire to battle Tyson Fury remains unwavering, but he's also keeping Deontay Wilder on his radar as a potential opponent. After being knocked out by Daniel Dubois last September, the British heavyweight's eagerness for a showdown with Fury continues, despite Fury's insistence on retiring from boxing.
With time running short on his boxing career, Joshua is eager to enter the world title mix once again. He's set to undergo surgery, pushing his ring return to later in the year. He stated, "The industry should not be left without it, and those [who are] interested should be able to witness it."
A potential fight with Martin Bakole, Agit Kabayel, or Deontay Wilder interests him. Regarding Joseph Parker, he believes Parker deserves a shot at the winner of Usyk vs. Dubois 2 more than him at the moment.
Bakole and Joshua have a history of a possible clash, but the match hasn't materialized yet. Kabayel is ranked well in the governing bodies, and a win over Kabayel for Joshua would re-establish his presence.
Meanwhile, Joshua and Wilder have yet to face each other, despite years of animosity. A deal between the two was signed, but Wilder lost back-to-back fights against Zhilei Zhang and Parker. His return victory over Tyrell Herndon on June 27 could catapult him back into the spotlight.
Joshua seems optimistic that Fury will reverse his decision, hinting at a possible cryptic call-out for a trilogy with Usyk. As he prepares for his comeback, he's focused on rebuilding his body to ensure he's in top form before stepping back into the ring. "My body has been through the works," he added. "If I want to be here for the long time I just want to make sure my body is really really good before I get back into the ring."
Sports remain a significant part of Anthony Joshua's life, especially boxing, as he aims to enter the world title mix again. His potential opponents include Deontay Wilder, whom he keeps on his radar, and Martin Bakole, with whom he has a history of a possible clash.
