A Splash of Success! Bottrop Swimmers Shine at KidsCup 2025
Bottrop's 1924 Crew of Youngsters Steering Towards Victory in SVG Bottrop
Under the rallying cry "Together with Hai-Speed to the finish!", the spirited junior team of the Bottrop Swimming Association not only sailed through the second preliminary round of KidsCup 2025 but did so in style, right in their home pool! These young aquatic warriors had the spectators on the edge of their seats with their stellar performances and an unmatched team spirit.
In a thrilling series of six relay races and the grueling 200-meter team endurance event, our hopefuls demonstrated that they were more than ready for the challenge. Time and again, they defied expectations, swam powerfully, and displayed a tangible sense of camaraderie in the water. The poolside atmosphere was electric with mutual cheering and support from parents and the entire team, making the event an unforgettable experience.
The following promising stars donned the SVg Bottrop colors: Lavinia Ortz (b. 2018), Hanna Certa, Lenja Schramm, Lucy Schulz, and Milena Liuni (all b. 2017), as well as Ferdinand Zaun, Jakob Meissner, Joshua Kirsch, and Pia Binia (all b. 2016).
As the day drew to a close, a delightful surprise awaited the KidsCup participants — an ice cream for everyone, graciously sponsored by Sparkasse Bottrop. The smiles on their faces were as wide as the margins they cut in their races!
With a twinkle in their eyes, the team now eagerly awaits the next preliminary round match, for one thing is clear: with such an unbreakable team spirit and driving motivation, the next Hai-Speed mission is just around the corner!
