The Boston Celtics have put up a ferocious comeback in the NBA playoffs, taking game 3 against the New York Knicks by a score of 115:93, pegging the series at 1-2. On the other hand, the Minnesota Timberwolves boosted their position with a 102:97 victory over the Golden State Warriors, snatching a 2-1 lead in their series.

The Celtics, having coughed up a 20-point lead in the initial two encounters, ensured that wouldn't happen this time. A 20-plus point lead in the first quarter already had them firmly in control, and the Knicks couldn't muster a comeback.

"We knew the magnitude of this game," Jayson Tatum asserted. "The last match didn't sit too well with us, so we come here with the right attitude, aiming to get the ball rolling. We can't let the emotional ups and downs of the playoffs disrupt us. Our seasoned core group has experienced multiple situations, so we simply aimed to stay united and find a solution."

Payton Pritchard led the charge for the record-holders, posting 23 points. Tatum himself accumulated 22. Rookie Ariel Hukporti, who stepped in for the Knicks after eliminating the Detroit Pistons in the first round with the aid of Dennis Schröder, scored just two points in the brief duration he played.

Struggles Aplenty for Golden State Without Curry

The fourth game is slated for Tuesday night at the Madison Square Garden where the Celtics could deadlock the series. However, the odds are stacked against Boston: Only five teams have ever managed to clinch an NBA playoff series after losing the first two home games.

The Wolves outmaneuvered the Warriors, who are still without injured Stephen Curry, in the final stretch and secured the win. Timberwolves' standout Anthony Edwards was the star of the night with 36 points, while Jimmy Butler (33 points) and Jonathan Kuminga (30) kept Golden State in contention for much of the game.
