Boston's Celtics Foreseen Winning a Comeback Against NY Knicks by Blake Griffin, with a Predicted Duration of Seven Games
Blake Griffin, former six-time All-Star, remains confident about the Boston Celtics' chances in the ongoing playoffs, despite their 2-0 deficit against the New York Knicks. Familiar with the core of the Celtics' current team, including Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, and Al Horford, Griffin predicts a thrilling seven-game series culminating in a Celtics win.
"That's right, I'm backing the C's all the way," Griffin asserted during a one-on-one interview. "I predict they'll win it in seven games. I'm on board with that."
The Celtics have faced a tough start, losing their home matches by a combined four points. In the inaugural clash, they were undone by over-reliance on their 3-point shots, connecting on just 25% of their attempts beyond the arc. Game 2 saw them drop one field goal in the last eight minutes, a critical period that dashed their chances.
Griffin blames the Celtics' fourth-quarter woes and their subsequent departure from their original offensive approach as the main culprits for their woes.
"It's the fourth quarter that's been their nemesis, no doubt. They seem to have strayed from their usual style," Griffin noted. "In Game 1, they appeared toylonweight too heavily on isolation plays, while Game 2 saw fewer drives and kicks, a departure from their usual offense."
Griffin acknowledges that the New York Knicks deserve credit for forcing the Celtics into challenging situations offensively.
"The Knicks have played a significant role in pushing the Celtics out of their comfort zone," Griffin conceded. "Offensively, I think the Knicks have been impressive. They've sprinted ahead to secure stops before powering up the court, drawing fouls, and keeping the Celtics off-balance."
However, Griffin emphasizes the importance of playing forty eight minutes against the well-drilled Knicks squad.
"The Knicks' discipline and endurance are evident. You can't win this series by producing three good quarters or even 45 minutes of solid play," Griffin asserted. "They appear to have a never-say-die attitude, so it's essential to match their grit with a full, focused effort across all four quarters."
While the series may be a tough contest, Griffin foresees an enthralling spectacle unfolding regardless of the outcome.
"As a sports buff, I relish the prospect of this series turning out to be a cracker," Griffin concluded. "I can hardly wait to see how it pans out."
