Borussia Mönchengladbach Announce Upcoming Fixtures After Successful Pre-Season

Borussia Mönchengladbach, celebrating their 125-year anniversary with a 2-0 victory over FC Valencia, have announced their upcoming games. The Foals' first competitive match will be in the first round of the DFB-Pokal on August 17th, 2025.

The season officially starts a week later, on August 24th, with the Bundesliga home game against promoted side Hamburger SV. This highly anticipated match will take place at Borussia Park, marking the first Bundesliga home game of the season for the Foals.

The journey begins with a pre-season friendly against Brentford on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. BST. This match will serve as the final pre-season fixture before the official season kicks off.

Prior to the DFB-Pokal match, Borussia Mönchengladbach will face the season opener, the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against VfB Stuttgart on August 16, 2025.

The first competitive match, against Oberligist Atlas Delmenhorst, is scheduled between August 15-18, 2025. The Foals' Bundesliga season will commence away from home, with the first match against VfB Stuttgart on August 30, 2025, followed by an away match against Bayer Leverkusen on September 21, 2025, among others.

The game against Atlas Delmenhorst will be away, and the first Bundesliga home game will not be a test match or a celebratory match for Borussia Mönchengladbach's anniversary. The Foals started the game tactically, with the opener scored by Robin Hack in the 17th minute, and the second goal being converted by new signing Kevin Diks, who scored a penalty in the 51st minute.

Club legends such as Wolfgang Kleff, Allan Simonsen, and club president Rainer Bonhof were present at Borussia Park for the anniversary ceremony, which included a moving pre-match event. The Foals are eager to continue their successful run in the upcoming season.

In the upcoming season, Borussia Mönchengladbach will participate in European leagues, specifically Laliga, as they aim to make their mark in football beyond the national scene. After the successful pre-season, they will first engage in a friendly match against Brentford before the official Bundesliga season starts.
