Boris Becker extends unexpected celebratory greetings.

Novak Djokovic claimed his 100th career title in Geneva, ending his recent slump just in time for the French Open. The Serbian tennis star, accompanied by his family, accepted the golden trophy with a note of gratitude.

In a tight three-hour final against Poland's Hubert Hurkacz, Djokovic secured the historic win. Afterward, he acknowledged the challenge, stating, "I'm simply grateful to have reached 100 here. And I really had to work for it."

Meanwhile, Djokovic's former coach, Boris Becker, offered a special message of congratulations. On social media, Becker wrote, "#100 Congrats, darling!," commemorating the achievements of the sporting legend. Becker coached Djokovic for three years and continues to maintain a friendly relationship with him.

In the past two decades, Djokovic has won at least one tournament each year. His records don't end there, as the world number one holds 24 Grand Slam titles, making him the record-breaking champion. Only Jimmy Connors (109) and Roger Federer (103) have won more tournaments, with no one else approaching the 100-mark as of yet. Djokovic won his first title in the Netherlands, Amersfoort, 19 years ago.

Recently, Djokovic experienced setbacks, having to retire from the Australian Open semifinals against Alexander Zverev due to injury and encountering unexpected early-round losses in other tournaments. However, his win in Geneva has bolstered his confidence as he prepares for the French Open, which begins this Sunday. Djokovic will face American Mackenzie McDonald in the first round, and a potential quarterfinal match with Zverev might lie ahead.
