Border Controls Discover Traffic Violators: BPOLI LUD Report

In a recent crackdown on traffic offenders, the Federal Police in Germany have arrested three individuals at various border control points, as part of the temporarily reinstated border controls.

The first arrest was made at a motorway control point near Görlitz. A 27-year-old Slovak, who had been convicted by the Cottbus Local Court for driving without a license, was apprehended. The Slovak had so far avoided paying the outstanding fine for his traffic offense. However, in the presence of the officers, he used his credit card to pay 1,581.00 euros to the court to settle his fine.

A second arrest was made at the Görlitz city bridge, where a 34-year-old Polish citizen was apprehended. Sought by the Görlitz Public Prosecutor's Office, branch office Bautzen, the Polish citizen was also wanted for driving without a license. Additionally, he had a detention warrant from the Görlitz Local Court against him, making him suspected of theft with weapons. Lacking the means to pay the fine on the spot, the Polish citizen was taken to a detention facility.

The third arrest was made at an unspecified location and involved a 46-year-old Pole. He was wanted for leaving the scene of an accident without permission and owing 750.00 euros to the Frankfurt court. The Bautzen Local Court had previously ordered the Polish citizen to pay a fine of 1,600.00 euros for driving without a license.

For further inquiries, the Federal Police Inspectorate Ludwigsdorf can be contacted. The press spokesman, Kevin Hagemann, can be reached at the provided contact details: telephone: 0 35 81 - 3626-6110, email: [email protected], and website: www.bundespolizei.de.

The news content is from the Federal Police Inspectorate Ludwigsdorf, transmitted via news aktuell. It is important to note that the debts for the Polish traveler (48) and the 46-year-old Pole arose from verdicts by the Dillenburg Local Court and the Bayreuth Local Court, respectively.

The Federal Police's efforts to enforce traffic laws and apprehend offenders, even in these temporarily reinstated border controls, serve as a reminder of the importance of responsible driving and adherence to the law.
