Boney Kapoor announces "No Entry 2" film, but without the original cast cast; Kapoor expresses remorse over the decision.
In an exclusive interview with Instant Bollywood, producer Boney Kapoor has opened up about the casting of the much-anticipated sequel to his decade-long project, No Entry 2.
Originally, the film was planned to feature the original cast of Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, and Anil Kapoor. However, due to unforeseen circumstances and delays, the opportunity to bring back the beloved trio slipped away. Boney Kapoor expresses deep regret over not retaining them, calling it a loss and admitting "the train has moved on."
Despite this setback, Boney Kapoor remains optimistic about the future of the sequel. The film will feature a completely new, younger cast led by Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh. There are reports of potential date issues with Diljit Dosanjh's involvement, but the production is moving forward.
Tamannaah Bhatia has also officially joined the project, expected to play a role reminiscent of Bipasha Basu’s character from the original film. Bhatia follows in Basu's footsteps, bringing a fresh energy to the sequel.
Boney Kapoor acknowledges the difficulty in replacing the original cast, but he hopes that the new cast will work for the sequel. He expresses that the film will always feel incomplete without the original cast, but he will miss them dearly, even if the sequel proves to be a success.
No Entry 2 is a film that Boney Kapoor had to wait a long time for the entire cast to come together. However, he respects the reasons each actor had for not being a part of the original film. Despite the changes, he remains committed to delivering a quality film to the audience.
The film is scheduled to go on floors by mid-2025. Stay tuned for more updates on No Entry 2!
